If AI takes over too many jobs, capitalism will simply fail. Why won’t it fail? The current capitalism model requires heavy consumerism. If people don’t have jobs, they won’t be able to buy what is being produced. Some people of this generation won’t have a retirement plan because they’ll lose their job to AI in the next 10 to 15 years. Even programmers will be replaced to AI at some point. Maybe not now, but saying “never will happen” is simply delusional considering we used to think AI could never create art and write music (remember?). If human can learn it, so can AI. DeepMind a few months ago revealed that it could do complicated math.

I don’t know what system people will follow when everything is built by AI and robots, but I surely know that billionaires won’t give up on their wealth. It’s gonna be chaos, isn’t it? Reminds me of the film Elysium. I’ll be the bad guy up in space, of course.
