Ali's Destiny

Do journalists think we’re stupid?

If you’ve been watching the news lately, you would know about Luigi Mangione. He killed the CEO of United Healthcare (UHC), a shady insurance company profiting off people dying. My problem is, take a look at the following articles. They’re all entirely focusing on non-relevant information.

Why the hell is the media so focused on whether he played “violent” video games? First of all, there’s nothing wrong with the game Among Us. Although I have never played it, I have watched several YouTubers play it. The idea that playing video games will lead someone to become a serial killer is outdated nonsense that originated with boomers to make their kids focus on studying. Why do we still see this kind of crap in our Gen Z generation? Especially when we clearly know it was a politically motivated act?

Exactly! Why trust legacy media at all if this is how they choose to handle the cases? And now, let’s take a look at even more moronic content. A thread from a blogger.

She completely overlooked his reasoning and why the public supports him. I have zero respect for people like that. Who cares what connection he has and what he believes in? We’re not here to date him, are we? Not gonna make babies with him, are we? We’re not here to build a family, Janel. What should matter is, we have a common goal of making the healthcare system better. What matters in the end is, senior citizens won’t have to suffer because the insurance providers are fraudsters. We should use this opportunity to begin mass protest to demand the insurance companies to do better.

Exactly my point! What the hell is the media even covering? Is that even journalism? If that’s what they call journalism today then my blog is also journalism. Remember, I’m not encouraging violence, I’m encouraging not to allow evil fucks to use this opportunity to disband us. The best way to kill a movement is not by violence, but by dividing up a group until no one agrees with anyone anymore. I’ll end this post with a tweet I made earlier.
