Hello, lovely people of the internet! Guess what I just built? An open source completely free speed reading extension (Rapid Serial Visual Presentation, aka RSVP) that is not only totally privacy-friendly, but also secure as hell by design! Why did I build this damn thing?

Let’s see the obvious reasons. Because everyone regardless of their class should be able to practice reading fast. Reading as a skill shouldn’t be capitalized because it’s the basic skill of our modern life. Without it, you can’t read your news, documentary and research articles written by ethically respected non-profit groups. That means, you won’t know how the politicians, billionaires and corporations are lying to you. Without it, you won’t be able to find a better paying job in this 9 to 5 world where we gotta serve the shareholders to help them afford their pretty boats so they can watch Bill Maher on how lazy we are.

Anyway, here’s the GitHub repository for my PractiRead (will be replacing it with my self-hosted Forgejo soon).
As always for my important programs, I’ll be continuously improving PractiRead and adding as many functionalities as possible to combat the real paid ones. If you have any feedback and suggestions, just hit me up on whatever platform you’re comfortable with. You can find them at the bottom of my homepage of this website.
